Hi folks, we caravaned for years and years but it was some years ago but then the family grew up and we werent enjoying as much as we had etc etc! We had a 5/6 year break from it but we decided last year to get another van and we're right back into and luvin it again, its like weve never been away! Anyway we keep it at a friends non working farm and keep it covered all winter with a fairly decent cover, I went up last weekend to uncover it "it" being a Sterling Eccles Ruby and all is not well? Van is still nice and clean inside and out except on the nearside trim/moulding/seal above the awning rail. Its has discoloured quite badly along the length of the van roof, only on the top section. Its turned a sort of brownish copper colour and it isnt on the surface its properly discoloured. I think its the side that got most of the sun and I just wondered if anyone else has had this hapen or heard of this problem before, please? Looks like a fairly in depth job to replace it and expensive!? Hope someone can throw some help on this annoying problem.

Thanks in advance Grant

Pics would help. Have you checked the inside of the cover that was against the part of van which has discoloured and seen if this is the cause of it. I don't use a cover as read more bad things than good about the damage they can do to windows and bodywork.
