OK,  for anyone who did the place names quiz, here's another slightly different one. I wrote this one in 2016 to mark the queen's 90th birthday.

All the clues relate to events in her lifetime - example

1954 - RBRFSFMM would be Roger Bannister runs first sub four minutes mile.

So how many can you do - remember on quiz nights mobile phones and Google consultations are not allowed!

Good luck - I'll leave them on till the weekend again for anyone wanting a go. smile

1) 1928 - W (OTO) A to V
2) 1940 - BAE from D
3) 1947 - SLAR to F
4) 1948 - F of NHS
5) 1954 - RBRFSFMM
6) 1958 - 8 MUPD in MAC
7) 1965 - D of SWC
8) 1969 - DPA in UK
9) 1971 - I of DC in GB
10) 1976 - HWR as PM
11) 1978 - FTTB (LB)B
12) 1979 - MTEFWPM
13) 1981 - PCMDS
14) 1982 - AIFI, S of FW
15) 1987 - CPA in SS
16) 1989 - 96 LSK in HD
17) 1994 - TBEL of LP
18) 2012 - LHSOG
19) 2014 - B of PG, FK
20) 2016 - BRWB to BP for FT in CH

Possibly 🤣. I'm struggling on got a very few not including the giveaway! Who's a silly boy then? 😉😉

Are the answers coming Sunday? I want to know how much time to dedicate to contemplating answers - I dont want to get any downside up this time 🤣🤣. Plus ordinary stuff has to be fitted in, so glad it's not in actual real quiz time - I wouldn't have got the giveaway 😱

I'm confident on 3 answers: no.4, no.13 and no.5 (😂)....don't think my brain "gets"this style of quiz....I'm pretty rubbish at cryptic crosswords too😢

OK - the answers are coming up in the next post. I've checked back on my scorecards for the quizzes I used this in and the average score (remember for teams of 4 or 6) was 15, so I reckon if you got 5 or more you can give yourself a pat on the back.

I've found another "place names" quiz so look out for it when we get another cold, rainy day (such as tomorrow by all accounts! wink)

Thebells I think I'd have done rubbish in an actual quiz night, but just reading through the questions and returning again the next day solved several. My brain, what you've got one? I hear you ask 🤣, must work in a very strange way!
