Contagion
This 2011 film was broadcast on one of the ITV channels a few days ago. I don't know how far ahead they do their scheduling but I couldn't help thinking how prophetic it was. Bill Gates speaking at Davos a year or two back outlined the the greatest threat to mankind was a global pandemic and the need to anticipate and prepare for such an event. The way the plot line of the film unfolded was just like watching the news. Given the awareness of this issue, the best response seems to be for Joe Public to rush out and stockpile loo rolls. Doesn't really inspire much confidence does it?

I started watching it CY, but the first 20 minutes or so were a bit too close to the current situation for comfort. I took Mrs M's advice to change channels (I think to Gogglebox which, to be honest didn't leave me feeling much better!)
