TBH, I wasn't aware it had been closed either, and I haven't been out of Lancashire since the beginning of January, let alone the UK.

And??  I'm aware of the flooding in February, as I stated earlier: I wasn't aware YRP had been closed.  Maybe next time somewhere is flooded I should automatically think any nearby CAMC site is closed as a result.

Note to self: get chrystal ball out.

After the recent rain, the site description reads ... 'situated on the banks of the River Ooze ...' tongue-out

Tewksbury will be a lot easier to get ready after the floods since the upgrading was done. Just a shame it lost some of its character in the process.

If character equates to all grass. Then I think the character of it now is much better, with all weather surfaces and service pitches. The big mistake I think was trying to cram too many other grass pitches in. Those opposite the service pitches struggle to maintain the 6 / 3 metres spacing, if someone is more than a micron off the peg.

I think unless you are the owner of a caraboat (any one remember them) then the words "all weather pitches" were breaking the  Trade Descriptions act , recentlycoolwink
