Is there a limit on how many dogs you can take with you on either club sites or cl sites?

Moderator Edit:

As we have a dedicated thread specifically for dogs and touring, I've closed this one, also considering that you have your answer and to avoid a repetition of previous debate on the subject.

There is no limit on club owned/operated sites but affiliated sites and CLs make their own rules.

PS. Here’s the leaflet about dogs on club sites.

No, there's no limit as far as club sites and most CLs  are concerned - just as long as they are under proper control and not allowed to interfere with other users and properly cleared up after.

Stand by for fireworks though!  wink

Surely everyone knows that CAMC is the provisional wing of the Kennel Club. wink

The most that I recall seeing was 6 huskies in a caravan next to me. No sled though

Interesting situation in this vein recently where a number of caravans turned up and erected outside cages about six feet high over much of the space that might have been occupied by each of their awnings. Looked a bit like the circus in the days when they had lions and tigers appearing.

I had stopped to chat with the site manager and he was not too bothered as they didn't enforce a limit on number of dogs per pitch, though he did take my point that as not everyone likes dogs the next users of those pitches might well find the smell of the urine soaked ground offensive, and that having a dog free area on the site could be a selling point.

So about a half hour later after emptying the casette as we left the site, I again happened to chat with the same manager as we both rounded the corner of the facilities block to see the amazing sight of the new arrivals' communal dog walking. He was quite aghast as there were 18 (or maybe 19) dogs of various breeds being walked in a group by four people.  Despite all being on leads at the time the overal appearance of the pack was intimidating.  As we left he had them stopped in a corner and was doing some talking to them.
