Woodhead Pass - closed

You might not believe it but somebody attempted to tow a caravan on Woodhead Pass earlier today.  

You can guess the result  >>> here <<<.  Caravan on its side and the pass is now closed.

    They live amongst us Jill! Can only hope no one was hurt. Sounds like it’s severity of weather as well as this that has shut Woodhead. M62 will be “interesting” as well I am guessing.

    No way would we attempt towing anywhere in this weather.

    I hope no one was injured.

     I collected my caravan from its service in Leyland on Tues .... 🤔

    If the person towing had to move the caravan, the Woodhead Pass sounds a better option than using the M62 .... I've no idea what the weather/road conditions were like on the pass but there are loads of accidents on that road at the best of times
