Electric car charging on pitches

I know it has been discussed before but I just had an email from the club and part of it was the redevelopment of Cayton Site.  They are installing electric car charging points so I wonder will they stop people charging on pitches and make them use the (I assume) paid for charging points?

It could well be 'Fast Chargers' for those that want them and will accept the cost of doing so, rather than the present way of doing it by plugging your slow charger into your units supply.

It will be interesting to see if the club chages for their use and how given that the Club is averse to charging by the unit?

I guess if they do not charge then they would have to even it up by giving the rest of us free diesel/petrolsurprised

They could simply charge for usage and parking

It would have to be free otherwise it conflicts with the policy of charging for pitches.

How is it charged for at motorway service areas and other parking spots? Not having a hybrid or electric car I haven't a clue.

It could be like the MWay ones or Supermarkets installed and operated by a 3rd party where you put a card in and pay like that.  That way they get over the charging per unit dilemma?

At the Orton centre in Peterborough they seem to be on a card system  noisy when in use sound like an electric tyre pump

I looked at the Brighton site for more info but couldn't find any so I'm none the wiser. With our EV we are signed up with ecotricity and can pay by card to use a charger away from home. Chargers usually supply a fast or superfast rate.

Edit never heard it making a noise jvb!
