First of all Happy new year to you all.

i am looking for recommendations from members. I have a Truma mover and the handset no longer works.  It is a Truma SE  .Can any member recommend a good repair agent to repair this unit, New batteries fitted to no avail .  We backed the van into parking space ok , but the handset would not then switch on again to retract the rollers.

Does the handset show any lights when tried? How old is the unit?

Try searching online for the instructions to link / reprogram the handset to the control box, as I assume you have no written instructions.

If that fails, either contact Truma for help or buy a new remote control as I doubt the old one is repairable.

PS. You should have a method of manually retracting the rollers for just this sort of event.

I had trouble with our Truma SE mover. The unit worked fine one minute and the next nothing. I suspected the remote and changed batteries but to no avail. Took it to the dealer and they said it was (something??) that I didn't really know had packed in and I needed a replacement part which would cost about £200 plus fitting and maybe best to invest in a new mover. However, the dealer did suggest that it MAY still be under warranty, but as the caravan was 5 years old at the time I doubted it but rang Truma who said YES, the warranty is for 5 years and they paid for the replacement part and fitting. The caravan was a couple of months short of 5 years old and I had bought the mover new with the caravan. They didn't ask for any proof!!

    Thanks folks for quick responses.

Easy T , the handset lights do not work and no ticking noise.

Tinwheeler ,I have all the instructions for the unit. I did wind the rollers off with the supplied tool.

New Chap, my unit is 10+ years so warranty long gone.

I had problems with our truma  remote the battery springs had become compressed over the years so gave them a little pull and a clean for a good contact and it worked again

Thanks 0001 , Yes that happened with this handset, we had to rotate the batteries to make a good contact. Tried pulling up the springs but no luck. Thank you for your reply
