    Not heard of that. I could understand it being available for service personnel who maybe through their time in the service may have contributed to their condition but in some ways it seems a duplication of facilities. It seems you still have to go through the normal approval routine as set out by your local health authority and only when they agree that it is the time to have the operation it goes ahead. I suppose you could look at it that it could take pressure off the local hospitals?

    Gobowen aka Oswestry  RJ & AH Orthopaedic Hospital  has had a tremendous reputation in the Shropshire, Cheshire & Welsh Border areas  for many, many years !  Several footballers of my era thank themselves 'lucky' to have been cared for in there.
