Went to see Judy last night.   Enjoyed the storyline, but not keen on Renee Zellweger as I kept seeing Bridget Jones and Beatrix Potter, although her mannerisms were very good.  The story focuses on the last year of her life when she appeared at the Talk of the Town and reflects back to when she appeared as Dorothy Gale.  If the story I’d true, then she had a terrible life as a young actress, completely ‘owned’ by MGM and I have some sympathy for her.

Unfortunately the experience was ruined by the audience of which the majority were over 60.   They seem to have no idea of how to behave in the cinema.  Not only did a number arrive late, they made so much noise finding their seats you couldn’t hear the film.  Then a phone rang, then rang again and someone answered it so we all knew what she needed from the shops.  Lots of rattling of sweets and crisps and then right at a crucial part they started talking and commenting loudly about the film totally ruining the moment.

Apologies for the moan but as a regular cinema goer, I get very irritated by audience disturbance and this was the worst ever.
