Coachman Door Blind

Hi All

 

Has anyone had a failed door blind not rolling back up on their Coachman and managed to reactivate it?

    Are you sure it hasn't simply come out of the track at the bottom - that would stop it rolling back? In our previous Bailey, it was always popping out and it's a simple matter to click it back into place.

    Haven't on my Coachman as not a roller blind.  On our previous van the roller was always sticking and the solution was to take the clip on surround off from around the window (just pulls off) and jiggle it around. Could never find a way to retention it.  It would work for a while then stick halfway down again

    Is your blind a roller type? The concertina type on my Coachman does not secure at the top of the door and leaves a gap. If it is the roller type, you can retention it by winding the roller against the internal spring and carefully putting it back in the cassette holder. Can be tricky, you might find something on Youtube which actually describes it better than words.

    IMO I see them as a useless piece of kit. I never open mine as there is enough light comes in from the rooflights, side and large front windows. opening them doesn't make that much of a difference. surprised

    You can remove the whole unit quite easily and wind up the return spring a little tighter, but generally I'm with the last post, I leave mine shut. You can also try a little silicon spray down the channels
