    I think you will find that in these circumstances you actually pay 1 pence less than the pump price if you use your card. I seem to recall there were lots of discussions around this point when the card was first introduced

    It’s not worth the effort. You have to e-mail pump king the receipt to prove it, even thought they will have one from the garage where you fill up.

    Given the recent events in the middle east, we'll all be paying more I'll wager no matter where we fill up.

    carrying a can of fuel isn't just saving a few pence

    on motorway services the cars and lorries are separate, go to the lorry derv and the nozzle is to big for most cars, then try to get your outfit in the car forecourt, the canopy is lower, and a tight bend to gtr the car & caravan round

    And there was I - back in 2019 saying that it cost me almost £100 to fill my car up from a quarter full.  It's nearly £200 now!
