Protect window rubbers

Hi guys, need a bit of advice. I've seen a lot of vans with dry and cracking rubbers seals on the windows. Is there something I can put on them to prevent this which won't damage the rubber?

    On our locker doors there is a label adviseing to use a silicon spray  on the rubbers,same for windows?
