I have recently bought a Hobby caravan from Germany. The c/van is 2 years old. I am having a motor mover fitted in the very near future. As the caravan does not have the self sufficient pack fitted I am having a battery fitted as well. The c/van is fitted with a 230v to 12v transformer to run the lights and a few other items when on a hook up. However, the 12v lights etc, will work when the 13 pin plug is connected to the car, the engine does not have to run or the ignition has to be on Not having a self sufficient pack is not an issue for me as we don't use sites without hook ups. My question is can I connect the battery to the wires from pins 9 (with a inline fuse) and 13 so it will charge while going along?
