As you will see from my profile I live in New Zealand and over the years have visited most of the country.

Would any one be interested in in swapping motorhomes, you coming over here during our summer and using my motorhone and me coming over to the UK during your summer and using your motorhome?

Obviously there would be details to deal with but it would give both of us a very reasonably priced overseas holiday. If you are interested my e-mail address is vanman1047@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from some adventurous motorhomers.

Regards

Peter

Interesting proposition Peter, whereabouts are you, north or south island?  I hired a Kea Campervan in NZ about 8 years ago when I first retired, fantastic country for touring, particularly the south island which we loved. Didn’t get to see as much as we’d like given time constraints, so I’ll keep your email details just in case we do a return trip.

Presumably by summer you mean 3 to 4 months? For a long duration have you ever looked into shipping your motorhome to the UK. I went to a presentation about this a few months ago and it can be cheaper than hiring. Perhaps not the answer you want but an alternative option.

    Hi Seaside Bill

Judging from your name I should call myself Lakeside Peter. I live in the North Island, and the city Rotorua that is about 250 Km south of Auckland. Rotorua is a Farming/forestry/ tourist town with about 70,000 people. It is a beautiful lakeside city with many lakes just a short distance away. My suggestion was a summer swap, you come here say Feb/ March 2020 and I come to you August/Sept whereby we both miss out the worst of the respective winters.

In the UK 250Km might seem a long way but it is just over 2 and a half hours. When I go up north I just stay on the motorway and them I can be on holiday the same day.
