We will be travelling from K Lynn to Matlock on Monday towing a caravan. Can anyone recommend anywhere which is easy to access/navigate when towing where we can stop for a comfort break? Not a route we are used to driving on.

Thank you!

Hillangel, have a read of the postings in "Stop on the A1" in the UK Touring Site section, as this may give you some ideas, although it is for a journey south rather than north.

This is a link to it (hopefully)!

If you are coming up past Nottingham onto the A50 there is a service station not long after joining the A50. It's down as Derby Services. There's no dedicated caravan bay but usually space either in the car park taking up a double bay or in the coach area. We've stopped there before.

You should be able to get onto the route to Matlock from somewhere off the A50.

Thank you both very much for such speedy replies. Will take a look at those although don't think they are quite on our route. Always useful to know for future trips though.

Have a look at the thread that Nellie refers to. There is a cafe past Sutton Bridge as you head west called the Farm Cafe. Might just be a bit too close to Kings Lynn for your needs.

Thank you Wherenextcaravanner. Yes, I have spotted that Cafe before but have never stopped there (with or without the caravan) as it always seems we have only just set off!
