Aero 3 towing mirrors

Anyone had issues with these or other clamp on style towing mirrors?

My cars wing mirror moulding are hollow and sloping, Audi, will these mirrors attachments cause cracks, or even fall off?

    I had the Aero mirrors on my Audi A6 and had no problems whatsoever. Very secure and vibration free.

    Ive just changed my car to an X5 and unfortunately the Aero mirrors don't fit so had to buy an alternative. These (in the pictures ) are the only ones i could find that fit correctly.

    We had Aeros but when we changed the car they would not clamp on securely. I have had to buy strap on mirrors which work far better, Cannot speak for your Audi, but the clamps did mark the casing on our old Mazda.
