Most water companies give details about the causes of a TCP taste in water. Here's one that might help. LINK

The main cause is usually a chemical reaction in the van pipes etc. Try using a different sterilising product.

Are you using a new water hose or one that is not rated food grade?

Non food grade plastics/PVC can taint the water.

Apparently Milton is not suitable for cleaning water systems as it doesn't remove all the bacteria whereas PuriClean or Aquatabs are. Once these are flushed through your system, you may well find the unpleasant odour disappears.

Milton is a mild form of bleach and I understand that it could damage the inner surface or heating element in the caravans water heater, especailly if left to stand for some time in the tank. To be on the safe side you could try alternatives as suggested above. Personally I don't use chemicals, only a good flush through. I won't say anymore..........
