Today it is raining and the grass is very wet so the wife decided to walk our three  long haired Yorkshire Terrier dogs off the site.  The site at Ilminster does have a small dog walk however with all this rain it is not pleasant to walk around.

On the way to the gate, the dogs did what is natural to them and while the wife was picking up the dropping, the warden came running out of the reception telling her to use the dog walk.  A soggy dog walk and it seems to are not allowed to walk your dogs off site?  What do you do, carry them or use the vehicle to take them to the entrance.

Anyway we are grateful to the warden for reminding us why we avoid the over priced CMC sites and prefer to use commercial sites for long stays.

You should have gone to Forton House CL just down the road near Chard, Surfer. Much nicer! smile

What a Jobs Worth ..... You should have pointed out 'Rule 11' 👍

    11. Dogs and other pets
    a. You are responsible for your pet's behaviour. You must make sure your pet is under control at all times; dogs must be kept on a secure lead no more than 2 metres long.

    b. We know accidents can't always be avoided, but in the event of fouling on your pitch please clean up quickly and use the dog bins provided. Please also follow this practice elsewhere on the site and when using the dog walks.

    c. Only guide or assistance dogs are allowed into any of the facilities on site.

Assuming this was a club site then the warden was wrong.

Noting the replies to your post ,advising you of where the warden was incorrect when speaking to you, so that other dog owners  will not be affected, maybe you should be helpful by adviseing the said staff member, and then letting others on this forum of the outcome surprised

Ps £18.50 per night expensive?what world do you live insurprised

The warden probably overreacted as he has become used to increasing numbers exercising their dog on site

If others have been to Hawes the Pawnine way dog exercise field is several acres in easy reach from all areas of the site, but there still those who are being "advised" by the site staff of where it isundecided
