Volvo XC90 As a tow car

Hi all we currently have a Volvo V70 and love it but i have spotted a nice XC90 2.4 diesel for a reasonable price. Does anyone here have experience with this as a tow car. Do the have enough power ect?

    Thanks for the reply. Its a 2011 model we are looking at auto with 2.4 diesel.

    the xc90 has won numerous towcar awards over the years, what you need to ask the dealer is,  is about the service history and has it been used for towing as could require gearbox service also and not cheap. remember it's 8 years old.

    Hi! Towing with xc90 2.4 aut. 185 bhp since 2010, van is 1600kg. At present 185.000 kms half of which towing. Only ordinary maintenance, super car for towing, great stability and reliability, great for towing on snow. Only problems are only 68 litres of fuel and consumption. Bye,
