Hello up until last week we owned a Fantasia Motor home, We've purchased a Sterling Europa 390 2 Berth Caravan which we collect next week.

This will be a different type of traveling and staying on sites for us.

We hope maybe you can give us some helpful tips.

it has an onboard water tank How do we fill this?

What type of towing mirrors do you recommend for our Honda CRV 2005, so many comments on other sites about problems people experience

Thank you in anticipation

Hopefully a mod will move this into the forum, Stuart, where it will likely get more views.

I'm assuming your water tank is the usual sort in which case you should have a submersible pump which drops into an external water container to pump water into the tank.

Towing mirrors are pretty much personal choice but a lot of people use Milenco Aero or Grand Aero. Convex or flat glass? My choice was convex but you may prefer flat.

    Enjoy your caravan.

We had an onboard water tank, but never used it. There were a couple of sets of levers, near the onboard pump. The position of the levers determined where the water went (either onboard tank or regular flow/run). I never did suss it out, but would probably have been quite straight forward. Your handbook should have the info. Milenco Aero seem ok, it’s what I use.

Are you sure it has an on board water tank?

In the Caravanning world, an on board water tank refers to a cold water tank, and these are usually only fitted to the larger twin axle vans, it would be very unusual for a Europa 390 to have such a tank.

It will however have a hot water tank, is this what you mean?

As TW said, you just connect up the water pump to the Aquaroll and the HW tank will fill, you may need to open the taps to get rid of any air.

The van should come with a handbook, but if it does not then you can download one on the Swift Group website, you need to know which model year the van is.

It is not that difficult, but you do need to follow the instructions!

Our system has valves that you can set to either use direct from Aquaroll, fill on board tank from Aquaroll, or use from on board tank.......all very easy once you get used to it.   I made a little diagram of the positions that I stuck beside the valves in case I forgot.

On board tank is very handy, especially if using the van shower

The system was explained to me by the dealer, but I was lost right after he said “you simply...” 😀

Pretty sure now the OP is referring to the hot water tank.

Our onboard tank is filled via the control panel above the door (2013 Coachaman Laser 620/4) ... no levers, just buttons and instructions eg fill onboard tank?

Having started out with a 2006 version of the same model caravan a few years ago i am pretty confident it does not have an onboard cold water tank. Suspect the OP means the hot water tank.....

As already stated it's more likely to be your hot water tank and as also said connect the water pipe to the water inlet and put the other end into the aquaroll, under the bed there is a the drain tap make sure that is closed,  it will have an onboard pump so turn this on, the switch should be by the door then let it run for a short while then open the taps hot and cold to clear any air in the system. when leaving the site open the drain tap and empty the tank

Just make sure the drain tap/taps are closed or else the water will just drain away.

The drain tap should be by the water tank, mine is yellow.  Closed means it is in the horizontal position!  My instructions say to open a hot tap as it fills to let the water fill the tank; only open the tap a little or you will have water everywheresealed.  When the hot water is running out of the tap with no sign of air escaping your tank is full and you can then turn on the water heater.  I use the tap nearest the water tank (kitchen); when that is running ok I turn that tap off then turn on the bathroom hot water tap to purge any air out of that run.

Don't worry as your handbook will cover all this.
