Moron drivers

Please, please, please SLOW DOWN and do not ignore no entry signs. This is getting ridiculous. A child is going to get killed or seriously hurt soon.

Are you really that arrogant, that you will risk killing a child because rules don't apply to you? I tell my children to cycle the right way, yet grown adults cannot do it in a car.

The warden has had a word with two drivers about it, so they went even faster and kept going the wrong way, just to shove it in his face. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from members.

One guy reckons his car won't do 5mph. Oh really? Are you driving the car, or is it the other way round?

SLOW DOWN and follow the signs!

Sadly, they're unlikely to see this.

Maybe the club will kick them out. 👍🏻

Maybe if the Club was to invest in some proper road signs and put them at eye level , rather than part buried in the grass, people might take more notice of them …………….

Sadly, they won't care or give a phut even if they see this or any new signage!

All cars can do 5mph and less, doesn't take that much skill but it does require a want to do so. ☹️

Club sites are among the safest places in the country. The accidents, injuries and deaths happen when you venture outside on to the roads.

I don't know if that is true of all cars etc without slipping the clutch but I suspect it won't be much, if any, over 5mph. With my cars gearing it is 4 mph. But even these if ill mannered were rolling at 7mph I would call that close enough.

Do you want the parents to walk/cycle around with the kids all the time? I'm sure the older kids would love that. As Eurotraveller says, a CC site is likely to be as safe as it gets.

PS adult cyclists are as likely to cycle the wrong way a site as kids will be (I've seen them) ... human nature dictates they're going to travel from A to B the shortest/easiest route there is.

Though there are lights etc in Poynton, there's less distinction between road & pavement than there could be. (drove through recently for the 1st time in ages .... too 'posh' for me 😉)

I totally agree DD. There have been two child deaths that I am aware of. No speeding car involved and there was nothing the drivers could have done. One was a child cycling from the side between car and caravan and the other was a child riding into the side of a motorhome. Not aware of possible injuries. For me however it is not just a matter of safety, as I always say (before MM comments), but it also a matter of common courtesy and respect to other site users.

    +1

As you say a respect for others, and of course coming onto a club site is a voluntary activity and as such just abide to the rules you, or one, has signed up to

Well live and learn I must start walking across pitches as I use the road for walking to facility's, rubbish bins and water and wast points .
    Must do better.

Simple answer , Cyclists and Pedestrians have PRIORITY in ALL circumstances any motorised vehicles that hits one is automatically to blame and is immediately ejected from the Site. No exceptions....that should focus the minds a bit.

The quicker the club implements procedures against such people the better. CCTV and other things has been discussed and after being given a warning then if caught again you park in the car park.
