We have been staying at Durham Grange for 2 days and it is a lovely site  but I have to say I can not believe the speed people drive around  the site  !  cars , caravans , Motor homes drive around at such speed it is frightening .  What part of 5MPH do these people not understand. If a child / adult stepped into  the road   from behind a caravan / Motor home they would  not stand a chance . 😡what is wrong with these  individuals

We noticed the same at Bridlington recently. One couple in particular drove their Range Rover in and out every morning and evening at a staggering speed. And this despite notices in the toilets saying that CCTV had been installed specifically to deter this.

But it's all been said before and you're unlikely to get a lot of support on here. frown

Or from many of the club wardens by the looks of it!!

agree there are people who just don't care about safety. All it would take is the rule being applied and those who are caught leave their car in the car park, or thrown off?

Post edit - how long before someone posts (the total nonsense) that is the club sites design which is to blame?

I have never had a problem at sticking to site speed limits. I think that more and more do keep speed down but there are always a minority that don't.

perhaps if when booking in the warden told everyone " if you speed your car(motorhome) will be crushed",they might take notice surprised

We recently returned from a 6 site trip. Four sites were CC - Wharfdale Skipton, North York Moors Whitby, The Sandringham Estate and Broadway. On booking in at the Broadway site everyone appeared to be reminded to keep to the speed limit.

In a recent post, didn't you admit that on a couple of occasions you have had a momentary lapse of concentration and changed up in to second gear cool

I did and have but immediately realised. Also when leaving broadway from a lower pitch there is a sharp rise towards exit and when leaving with caravan I did apply throttle and reached 6 mph up the slope surprised

I don't think the warden noticed as he walked by and waved.

For me it is not just about safety. It is about courtesy as well
