hello 👋- I am looking for a site that has accommodation for my family who wish to join us on our caravan holiday e.g lodge, static caravan, eurocamp style set up tent.  We are hoping to go away last minute for last weekend in May. We are based in Sussex and Essex so East Anglia, Midlands or South way.

We are new to caravanning so need all the advice we can get. And are also fairly disorganized due to commits of work and family.

So hoping for some ideas 💡 realize might be mission impossible as we are nearly in May but  🤞

x

There are lots of campsites that offer alternative accommodation for families. There are a few Club Sites that have cottages on site as well. I have no idea of any in areas you are looking at, but if you click on UK Holidays above, then look on page to find different accommodation. You could also try UKcampsites website, or take a look on CLs website page, as a good number of Certificated locations have alternatives. If you are lucky, you might get a CL owner come onto thread to offer an unbooked example.

Try and take the time to browse the UK section above. It might be very useful if you intend taking holidays with others, or want to make the most of a last minute break. Meantime, I hope you get sorted, and welcome to the Club.😄

Emma, almost every commercial campsite will have some sort of accommodation to rent - static caravans are common, but lodges, cabins and pods are frequent too. The choice is great but availability might be the bigger problem. Without knowing exactly which area you would like to visit it's hard to name individual sites.

We were at Kelvedon Hatch C&CC site on Friday and they had some Safari tents so may be worth seeing what else they do and where as an option.

    Hi

Have you looked at Brighton they were having camping pods put in when I was there in February so should be up and running now. They are in an excellent position on site and sleep four with all the facilities.

Hi look at the Experience freedom section on the web site  the club has camping pods , airstreems and yurts you can book for you family as well as cottages you can book. At Grafham water you can book one or two cottages to sleep up to 12 and they can be linked.

There are also a few club sites which have cottage type accommodation. Hawes and Meathop Fell come to mind.

The OP is now 3 days old. I wonder if E&E have bothered to look at the responses yet. It would be good to know if they've tried any of the suggestions or at least found one that they think would suit.

this is what the OP says.

We are based in Sussex and Essex so East Anglia, Midlands or South way.

I think Hawes and Meathop fell are a little to far from the places mentioned.

My apologies, I don't know the Midlands or Southern Regions well but the two I mentioned were examples I do know of up here in't North. Hopefully someone based down in the Sarf has examples of similar sites in their area and can advise accordingly.wink
