Whale Water Pump/Water heater

Hello, we have just brought our first caravan home and are slowly working our way around how everything works. I have several manuals to refer to, one for the whale water heater and one for the whale water pump. I am just unclear how the pump/cold water/hot water system works together and wondered if someone could explain it to me in layman’s terms. For instance, the pump is in the aqua roll, I assume If I turn on the pump then it pumps cold water direct to the tap when I turn on the cold tap. I am puzzled how the hot water system works. The hot water tank needs filling, will this happen as soon as I turn on the pump, once the water is heated how is pumped to the hot water tap and how is the hot water tank topped up (if it is). It may be a silly question with an obvious answer and by following the manuals it will obviously “work” it’s just I would like to know “how” it works.

    When you connect the aqua roll and pump you normally have to switch on the pump at your control panel. Make sure the drain valve for the water tank is closed.  Open a tap wide open and you should get a spluttering of water, this is usually and indication that your water tank is filling.  Once the tank is full the water should run normally.  Close your tap and you can now switch on your the heater for the tank.
