This is really helpful, however, all these places are miles and hours away from us around the Beds/Herts/Bucks border.
The nearest place on the Safefill site was Esso at Flamstead but they refused to allow me to fillup there.
Also looking at the myLPG and filllpg sites there are quite a lot near me - but some of them simply refuse to allow me to fill up my Safefill cylinder. I guess it's a case of calling before visiting to prevent a wasted trip.

How close is Wellingborough TH? Morrison’s there has LPG.

Orkney and Shetland
Orkney - at the time of posting there is nowhere on the islands selling pumped LPG.
Shetland - only one company sells LPG from a pump.
ZetGas on the A970 twixt Brae & Hillswick. It’s a general LPG depot in an old quarry. Attendant service but the depot is not always manned. It could pay to ring first 01806 503 372.

Other than Morrison’s in Hull, there aren’t many lpg stations in East Yorkshire but the one I use regularly is Maple Garage in Flinton near Sproatley. Bit out in the sticks but might be useful for anyone in the Bridlington area. Closed on Sundays, though.

Yes it is the same company Micky. Unfortunately, they don’t sell LPG at Mappleton which is virtually on my doorstep but Sproatley’s not that far away. At one time a lot of the Police panda cars ran on lpg and they had a good business going but I don’t think they do anymore. Hope they continue to provide the service.

I have now created a spreadsheet & map to list LPG stations that allow filling of refillable bottles. Hopefully any stations that have been mentioned on this discussion and on the other LPG one are now on there!.
Will be great if anyone can part with their knowledge regarding the filling stations that have filled bottles etc if they would post them on the new discussion or there is a form which can be filled in.

Come on there must be more than 35 filling stations in the UK that will fill Safefill, Gas IT, or Gaslow bottles. Hardy inspiring me or others to invest in a refillable if it can't be refilled!

I think you will find that Flo-gas through their Mac-gas operation acquired from BP that Gaslight product here in the UK, when BP moved away from that sector.
With the "issues" Homebase have been going through Gaslights seems thankfully now to be more available. It appeared for some time exchanges were only available at Homebase and the original retailers of BP Gaslights, but now I have found Flo-gas and its dealers can retail their own product.

I have filled a Safefill at a couple of different garages since I acquired it but I did not ask beforehand. I just went ahead and filled it. With the bottle being in the locker which is situated at the rear offside, I doubt that their CCTV could ascertain whether it was a standalone bottle or a "plumbed-in" system. Whether a prior request would have resulted in refusal, I can't say.
For the record, the garages in question are Shell, Titchfield. PO14 4BB and Texaco, Winterbourne Stoke. SP3 4SZ

Was that recent Steve. They refused to let me fill my Safefill when I first got it 3/4 years ago.

I have emailed Majita at MyLPG.eu . We have had quite a discussion. I have asked if it’s possible to show ‘Safefill Friendly’ sites with either words or symbols. Further, can a filter be embedded to allow only Safefill Friendly sites to be displayed if required and then by County. Now that would be useful! But it is up to us to keep the information current- if you have a site- share it- if a site closes- share it- if a site changes ownership- share it. You can email Majita from his website or load the MyLPG app onto your phones or tablets. He will always reply. Let’s not allow journeys to be made that are a waste of time. The more we do, the more we get out of it. The same applies to Johnny57 at Newton Grove - please keep those sites coming in- every one is a help.
