And good to see members being proactive and reporting it.
Of course that will be down to the advice often given on here🙂

Totally agree with the action taken by the Warden. I was appalled, when staying at Wharfedale, last Autumn everyone seemed to abide by the speed limit during the week but come Friday afternoon, it was mayhem. Notwithstanding the obvious safety risks, how some of those caravans survived being towed over the speed bumps at 20 mph is beyond me.
But it's not just CC sites where this happens - there seems to be a total disregard for safety, common sense and rules of the road amongst a certain sector of the community, wherever they are. "Me, me, me" seems to be their watchword.

yes.I often sit in supermarket car parks whilst my carer does the weekly shop, and it is quite apparent that a large number of drivers do not care for the safety of others!

I remarked something similar when driving through a Morrisons car park near Rhyl the other day. I think the phrase I used finished with head.
Depending on the tightness of such car parks and how full they are I either engage first gear and travel at 4mph on tickover as I would on site or second gear which I think is 7 or 8mph from memory

Well done, that warden.
Wouldn't it be good if the club supplied nice big signs like that bearing the official logo and publicised the penalties!

Probably be more effective if it was handed out at reception when booking it. It would take seconds to explain the importance of driving slowly around a campsite?

Well done that warden, however I do wonder why he had to stress that there were currently young children and vulnerable persons on site. Surely the speed limit should apply all of the time.

Must be a lot of speeders up in the lake district then?
