Just seen this on BBC news site. Hope those affected are insured and don't miss out on their breaks. Hopefully nobody's been hurt. Well done those firepersons.

Fires do seem to be more frequent on storage sites. Not sure why but when they occur then they can spread rapidly as the caravan are close together.

    Very unlucky for those involved.

Do storage sites allow you to store gas in the front lockers or are you compelled to remove them? We've always stored at home. Just wondering.

The only thing not allowed in our cc storage is no petrol in stored boats fuel tanks ,otherwise there is is not a restriction except gas must be turned off

Our storage asks that gas is removed over winter - think from days when the blue tanks were used and could freeze/expode

Just read this morning that Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Services say the the fire was started deliberately, although no accelerants were used.

They are still investigating on where the fire actually started.
