In need of a Revamp
No not the sites, although some are, but the photos on the website. I was looking through some locations we have never visited and in many of the photos the vans were rather elderly. On looking at those I know the same was true. Not a problem of course if the site has not changed but in several cases there had been significant changes. At Cirencester, you could be forgiven for thinking there were no hardstandings. Also at Tewkesbury which was all grass and now has a variety of surfaces. Trees in other photos have been significantly reduced or pruned, so now the sites are more open. At Chatsworth the grass has been removed from in front the hardstandings, although you wouldn't know it from the photos.
It seems odd they have not been updated, although a few new ones have been added of Glamping pods etc. It would be easy enough for the Club to run a competition asking for photos. Unless of course there are issues with data protection regulations. Although number plates could be blurred and no people close ups stipulated.

yes have to agree, it is being done but very slowly and usually after, or so I've noticed, the site has been refurbished? In some cases the photos on google maps are better than the website ones.
On some the 'old style of pitching' is still shown with the caravan at one side of the pitch.
Like you I can't see why they are not updated, surely the easiest thing to to do? Either by wardens or us, and would not even have to be a competition, just do what google does and post your own on a 'member's photos of the site' tab or link within the site page.

On the New England Bay site page , there is a picture of our car (Sorento) and caravan on the front row looking towards the sea .That picture was taken in August 2006 and I periodically look to see if its been taken down.
So the photos are not changed that often.

On the Hillhead site, the main picture depicts caravans on what is now the tent pitching section. I am surprised the club doesn't have a pictures editor who checks and updates all these things. The photos are often so out of date that the colours look faded.

Some are overly enhanced and look artificial. Dunnet Bay, for instance.
We amateurs could do much better.
