The closest I can get to that price is Easter peak season, 2 people, serviced pitch = £34.50.

    On a standard pitch = £30.60.

I can’t work it out but don't know your party size or pitch type.

It'll be the school Easter hols that make it peak rate.

    Have you investigated alternatives?

The prices are what they are greylag. Our 3 nights in Brid are £106.50 for two on a standard pitch, during the Easter Peak. However, it's where we want to be.They have to recoup the cost of the refurb somehow.😉 It would of course be more expensive if you weren't a member.☹️

What is bad is that in important information on the booking, they are referring to an article in last Mays mag which got the prices wrong and telling me the maximum for two on a standard pitch is £33.60. That was last years prices and clearly should be removed.

seems to be a popular site despite the 'high' prices, looking at availability most weekends in April are booked up and lots of yellow booked up days. Half term in May is fully booked for SP.

Never been but it's looks good, think I'll pt it on the go to list, anyone been?

Yes, I have. Nice site with a swimming pool. Grafham Water itself is adjacent and you can walk/cycle around it. I don't recall there being much else in the vicinity though.

It no longer has a swimming pool, according to information on site page.

Always choose CL's first and always have done.  Will go to the main sites if it is where we need to be and pay the price.  We stayed at the CL near Grafham water and had a brilliant time a few years back and I was just interested to see how much the  main site was.

On our Scottish trip in May I am having to pay £29 for an overnight stay just because it is a convenient break in the journey, but I don't mind.

£15 for a CL is a reasonable price and do not like and will not use CL's that are pushing towards £20.

Beginning to consider joining the other lot as well and improving my choice.

    Thanks for your comment's.

We joined the other club a few years back because they offered a very good deal on home insurance when we had a 4 month trip away, but we are now using their sites more and more as they offer a very good deal for the over 60s.  We have also found that their peak periods are much shorter.

Another advantage is being able to book a hardstanding.

The over 60s discount means that we can often use a full facility CCC site for little more than the cost of a CL.

This year we will also be looking at their caravan insurance  and in the future their overseas travel insurance.

We will stay CAMC members for the CLs as there seems to be a better choice than with the other club's CSs.

We look to average no more than £20 per night on a tour, preferably less.   Using a mix of CLs at £12-£17, CCC sites and the odd CAMC site, as we are about to do over Easter, this is easily achieved.
