we have our water pump inside the caravan which makes a rattling noise when in use. There is no air in the system as it is primed. New O rings fitted to inlet nipple, new external filter and pipework, tightened up the fixing screws to pump base but rattling continues. could someone please advise  me whether this is normal? If not s there anything else I can check!

many thanks, Kerry

Did not know the pegasus model was fitted with internal pump? and those that we had fitted to our motor caravans were on rubber mountings to reduce that sort of "rattle"

Yes JVB I am afraid they are. The pump is supported on rubber mountings but the pump still vibrates, not sure if this is the norm or is there anything else I need to look at.

In one of our motor caravans the internal pump would "vibrate" when in use on its rubber mounting but not rattle, is it the pump that is rattleing or possibly one of the pipes "touching" one of the internal fittings when pump running?

Ps we have a Pegasus but out side pump

It's the pump that is vibrating. It's situated under the front seat and you can see the vibration on the pump.

It was the same in our U2 Cadiz, under the front seat. A very good soundbox unfortunately. Our previous van had an submersible in the aquaroll and you hardly new it was on. The one in the Cadiz made a tremendous din. We eventually got used to it. ☹️ Seems stange now with the MH, which has a submersible in the water tank. I keep expecting the old din when I turn on the tap and we just get a low hum.😂
