Cycling Near Southport

Hi all

We are heading down to Southport next week and I am wondering whether it is worth taking my bike. Does anyone know of any decent cycling routes close to the club site preferably on cycle track or quiet roads.

    Turn left out the site and you'll find cycling near the shore on either quiet roads or cycle path. You can also cycle along the front going right. Take your bike unless more storms forecast!

    Just left Southport yesterday. Southport is at the Western side of The Trans Pennine Way and is suitable for bikes.

    In reception there are some very good leaflets with various local cycle routes.
