Laminate Worktop repair options
I have a 2006/2007 Sterling Eccles Moonstone. Unfortunaly I forgot to remove the Carbon Monoxide alarm before travelling at the weekend and it fell off the shelf onto a laminate worktop (I believe it is cherry coloured wood - but not 100% sure as I cannot find the colour listed in the Swift-Eccles brochure. It has created a hole about 12mm x 6mm where a small piece of laminate has cracked off and been pushed down about 2mm. photo attached. I am looking at options to do a repair. So far I have looked at coloured resin - but the choice of colours is very limited - or hard wax (From Konig) with a lacquer coat on top. Any other options known please?

I used colorfill on mine but the dent was not so big.
I filled the dent with araldite to seal and give strength then skimmed with colorfill.

There seems to be anear rectangular piece cracked off and pushed in. I would release it by cutting if necessary with the tip of a new craft knife blade and remove it so that the hole can be filled and the piec stuck back. Whilst the pieces was out and before filling I would try and fill beneath the remaining dented in area whilst raising it with a pick or shaped bit of paper clip. Then I would try a hard wax on the remaining cracks. I did a similar repair about 18 years aago
