Was looking at this site as we like to cycle along towpaths.  Adult only appeals to us and but how bad is the road noise.  What are the facility likes.  Only hubby uses these I use the van laughing

Any info would be appreciated.smile

Assuming it still operates as a commercial touring site and the layout is the same, the amount of traffic noise varies depending on which part of the site you stay on. The further from the gate, the louder the noise. The end field was very noisy, in my opinion.

The facilities were up to club site standard but I haven’t been there for several years.

They have their own webpage just had a look and adult only but from 14 years old not what I would call adult only but looks a good site have driven past it and have walked along the canal path adjacent to it and the prices are cheaper than some club sites at peak seasons.

I stayed here overnight last year, can’t recall it being particularly noisy. Nice canal side walk into local village which has a couple of pubs and shop. You can launch a canoe or similar from the tow path which borders the site.

Stayed here on  numerous occasions whilst under club banner. Useful for touring, also good walk along towpath, into village where a couple of pubs are, that do Sunday dinner.
