Hello- Keith and Sarah here. We're pretty new to this mobile lifestyle but determined to enjoy every moment. We are seasoned campers (tents of various forms and constructs) both in the UK and in France over the last 20+ years and have bitten the bullet after agonising over which mobile method to use with several trips out to view dealership vans and MHs. Day van?, caravan?, motor home? or stick to what we know (car, roofbox, trailer and tent)? Our plans are to retire in April this year and just GO.

Where? We're not too clear yet with our plans, but we HAD to buy Millie, our MH, in September 2018. Millie is a 13 year old Chausson 55 with just about every conceivable extra - Garmin, Autogas, Autocruise, Satellite, Solar panel, memory foam mattress on the fixed bed, bike rack and loads of other bits 'n pieces that we haven't completely explored yet! She has been a well loved and trusted home, no damp (at all), complete service history, 40k miles and although not in pristine condition, is not far off. Some of the exterior white plastic fitments are showing their age and are mottled and sun damaged, but that's an acceptable and minor issue in the grand scheme of things. We've had three fairly local trips out so far and never a moment of regret. April can't come soon enough!

We will blog/vlog our journey, wherever it takes us but we absolutely have to visit Holland, Italy, Portugal, South and West coasts of France, Gibraltar and Portugal for individual reasons, be they friends, our memories, recommendations and family celebration.

Keep up the information flow, especially on the Newbie Discussions, we have so much to learn!

    Hi Sarah and Keith

Hope you enjoy your new acquisition, it sounds very well equipped. We got our first motorhome six years ago after 30 years of towing a caravan and have not regretted it. Lots of knowledge on here so please feel free to ask any questions which I am sure will be many!!! We will look forward to any blogs you care to post in the Story Section, hopefully accompanied by photographs of your adventures.

    David

Hi Keith and Sarah.  Good to hear from you and welcome to Club Together.  I'm sure you will enjoy your visit into Europe.  If you want and further ideas of where to go, it's worth having a little look at the Story section.  There are several good diaries of people's visits over to Europe.  (Unfortunately, some of the photos are missing now as some were linked from Photobucket who withdrew it's free element....)  Do let us know how you get on with it all and look forward to reading your posts.
