Nipped out to give mine a shake yesterday to stop the powder settling. After a couple of minutes of vigorous shaking, I refreshed myself with reading the instructions. It's a foam one. All that wasted energy. embarassed

The following might be of interest??  My 1Kg powder extinguisher was made in 2003 and the 'valid until date' was January 2010. Because of it's age I bought a new one.

I was then curious to find out if the old one would still work despite being nearly ten years past it's use by date, so it set it off and it did work. With that in mind I won't be unduly concerned when my next one gets a little bit old.

It's those sleeping policemen you keep bouncing over on club sites that's keeping the powder from solidifying.wink
