Bit of a shock to find out Cycling’s Paul Sherwen has passed away, aged just 62. I recall him as one of the “voices” of the TdeF, he made the coverage come to life with his research and commentary of all the wonderful places the Tour visited, alongside regailing where all the riders were and what kind of day they were having. He was a past British Cycling Champion himself, and his tenacity and endurance once rewarded him by being reinstated into the Tour after missing the cut off. No idea why he passed away, but more information about him here

RIP Paul Sherwen.

I read about it today as well, tad. Very sad news indeed. He always seemed very affable and could be trusted to be properly informed. A sad loss.

Very sorry to hear that news. I see that he died of heart failure at his home in Kampala, Uganda.

    RIP Paul.
