The first reporter to introduce a news bulletin on the BBC has died aged 93

    And  a  Gentleman  Newsreader  from  the  days  when  they  were  expected  to  do  just  that  ,  i.e.  read/present  the  news  and  not  make  it  unlike  so  many  now.
