Hi I wondered if anybody could suggest a site in Tenby or close enough walking distance, we are a family of 4, with 2 youngish children, but it is nice to be able to walk in on have a drink and meal on a evening, thanks or the other option is a site in the vicinity with pub food etc within walking distance, thanks for your assistance

Haven, Kiln Park......BUT only out of season, it can be pretty full at times, but a gentle stroll across the golf course into the town.

Kiln Park is about the nearest to town. A short walk to the beach and then about 1/2 mile to town

    Check Google Earth

I did look at kiln park but it's showing full for first week of next years school holidays? Unless that's because it's to early to book, thanks

We used Kiln Park in June this year and enjoyed it.  As has been said, a short walk through to the beach and a nice walk into Tenby either via the beach or footpaths.  There is also a decent bus service that stops at the entrance to the site.  When we were there the site was busy, almost full every night but that was not a problem.  Would certainly use again, we thought Tenby was really lovely.

Hi thanks for every body's advice but we are thinking stone Pitt near Saundersfoot,  price looks a lot more reasonable than kiln park in high season

That was the ideal thoughts, but looking at prices etc, i'm hoping from what I read Stonepitt is within walking distance of a pub etc

Ideally what I asked in the opening post was what we would have liked but kiln park has no availability when we'd like to go and price wise is more than we can stretch to, not the most friendly post above

Sorry!  Presumably you hadn't googled "caravan sites near Tenby" before you posted here and received suggestions. If not, and you haven't yet booked the site you mention, it may be worth doing so as there are other sites identified. If you like the description of one  or more when you have looked at their websites and still feel that you need opinions of other folk about their suitability for you and your family you can always ask. (However, what one person or family likes may not be what someone else likes! It is always rather "risky" recommending sites. Also, frequently, people ask for  suggestions from strangers when they haven't  done any initial research about an area, region or even country.)

Wherever and whenever you go, I hope that you and your family have an enjoyable holiday.

Thanks Way to Go, We did look at penally farm Court and looked on google maps, and studied out the walking route it offered and was thinking it was maybe a little on the far side for walking? I'm maybe wrong here? It's very difficult to check everything by google, I think i've checked out nearly every campsite in the area, till in all honesty you get more and more confused, we came to the conclusion we'd have to accept been a drive away?

Hi you've got us thinking, looks nice there, also station close by straight into Tenby? I also see the country park is there which perhaps has more facilities whilst is pushing the budget, isn't as bad as kiln park, thanks very much for your thoughtful help, Do like the idea of tearooms etc!
