Hi I've left it to late to book on the caravan club temporary pitch at the NEC show as they only have Monday and the last Sunday available now, which due to work commitments doesn't fit in with my plans, does anyone know of any sites close by, that may have courtesy transport to and from the show please, or if not can you recommend a site close by and perhaps then I can drive to the show, providing they allow you to park a 7.4 metre motorhome on the normal carpark, unfortunately not been before as I am new to this hobby so no idea on what to expect.

When we went a couple of years ago we stayed at the Chapel Lane CMC site and left early the next morning and parked our 6.7m motorhome in the car park at the NEC.  Plenty of other motorhomes in the car park as well when we were there.

We've stayed at Chapel Lane too in the past, and driven to the NEC.  Plenty of parking there for large motorhomes, no problem at all, it's a huge carpark, there are courtesy buses (if you can get on one!) from the carpark to the entrance, or you can walk it.

Chapel Lane gets fully booked at Show Time, especially near the weekend.

Advisable to book early. You still need an early start because.... Oh the motorway congestion.

Haven't stayed there for manny years and once or twice tried getting onto nearby CL's ......same problem, all booked out.

Seems that you need to be better organised than us and make early firm commitment, or just travel from further out.

Meet the same traffic - just need to start a bit earlier.

No trouble parking large motorhomes at show as motorhomes are usually separated.
