Hello,

We have a 7pin electric hook up fitted on the A frame of our caravan in addition to the normal hook up in the battery box, I was told that it was for the mover but I have used the mover without using this A frame connector, can anyone give me more information on this A frame connector.

Assuming your mover is a Traumer (sorry Truma), when the 7 pin plug is fitted the mover is electrically isolated and therefore can’t inadvertently operate when the ‘van is being towed.

We have a similar arrangement on our van the only difference is that it's a 13 pin connection. Yes it's for the mover and yes it's a Truma mover with automatic engagement.

The mover will not work unless the 13 pin plug is inserted. I keep the plug in whilst the van is not being used so that I don't forget to insert it.

The red plastic key is also required to turn the power on at the battery box. Now that's something which can't be left in and I do sometimes forget.😡
