hi

thought I would take the time to write.

i read 100’s of posts moaning about poor service. Well having just had our van serviced by The Caravan Crew in scotland I have nothing but praise.

the fitter was running about 15 min late but rand to apologise and keep me informed.

i left fitter with keys at storage area and received a call several hours later to say would be finished in 20 min.

Arrived at storage where William proceeded to tell me exactly what had been done, explain the damp report ( it’s a five year old bailey bologna and still dry, wonder if bailey want it back to prove they can built a dry ons ?) the things that had been checkedetc etc.

A pleasure to deal with and a credit to the company

well done

let’s praise good service, so we can all use the best, but shout loud about poor service and workmanship so others are warned and can avoid

Nice to hear your experiences.  I  use an excellent mobile service man.  He is so busy that you have to book months ahead (already booked next springs service!)  He asks that we do not give him any publicity  as he has too many clients already.  Like in most things, generally we only hear about the problems not the good which, I suspect, are the vast majority.

Good to hear, Chas. Hopefully, that will be of use to someone else looking for a mobile service man.

Good of you to post Chas👍🏻, I’m afraid you’ll not get many posts most posters on CT get excited about the negatives I’m afraid☹️, the positives(like this thread) is generally ignored.

Great to hear. Must say we're happy enough with our service team. Told company that if service engineer goes we will follow him. Mind you he's been there for nearly 40 years, so he doesn't seem to have wanderlust.

Not about our hobby but I called into a local self owned domestic shop on behalf of my mother recently, she needed a fridge/freezer but it had to fit in her pantry so size was important! We had had the issue several years before and it was a good morning's work with a tape measure in a big chain shop all diy. In less than 15 mins we had one ordered and paid for 😲. The lady went to her computer put in magic words and first time result, wished I had same results! Delivery was later that week, delivery and included installation, removal and disposal of existing. Mum is almost 88 and not as able as she was. The maturish lad, shop owners son, delivered at the said time, emptied her existing fridge/freezer and put in the cool for her, installed the new one - lead a little too short and mum hadn't got an extension lead so sorted that problem too, and told her when to switch on and reload. This she managed fine and meant that things were out for least possible time. Brilliant service. I popped in and thanked them. We will use them again when the need arises, but first impression inside the shop belied their service, ignore the muddle and untidiness!
