My 6 year old Swift is due for service this month and having booked the first available date found tht it was 6 days beyond the anniversary of purchase. Thinking this was within the 60 days permitted on normal service allowance, I was surprised to find that as it is the 6 yr service, it must be completed prior to the 72 month date from first purchase to validate the final 4 years of bodyshell warranty. I contacted Swift to check that the 6 days over would be OK, but was advised unless the service was carried out within the 72 month period, the warranty would lapse. Scrabbled around and found an alternative service in the timeframe.

So please check your dates to avoid loosing your 10 year warranty.

I was aware of such clauses and I don't think that swift is alone in this regard.
