Hi everyone

Im after some help please we caravaning some twenty years ago and all the vans we had allowed us to remove the top half of the draw unit at the front place on the floor in order to make the bed .We have recently purchased a sprite 2012 major 4 and I don’t seem to be able to remove the top section the draws in order to make the front bed larger it seems to be a very small double a.m. I missing something or do they not come away does anyone have any idea at all

Sometimes they are screwed in place.

Ours, also a Swift, does come off easily, but I suggest you go to the SwiftTalk forum where you can ask Swift directly.

I am not familiar with that particular model although we did own a Swift and sometimes removed the front locker. I am surprised that the double is inadequate with the front locker in place. I assume that you are arranging the bed to sleep across the width rather than longitudinally?

Some front lockers have locking tabs accessible from inside the bed lockers.

You can lift the drawer cabinet out but its very heavy and awkward to lift and you will probably have nowhere to put it. Its designed for replacing with wrap round cushions, and that may be a better way for you if you really want a king size bed. You can buy the extra cushions.
