Window stays.

Some of the window stays on my caravan are not doing their job. I tighten the securing screws but the window does not stay put. Is there a self fix method or do I have to buy replacement stays? I have been trying to Google an exploded diagram of the stay assembly but no success so far.

JD you can buy new stays approx £30 for a pair but you need to get the correct size, you can fit these very easily yourself, or you can just buy the part that screws and tightens to the stay approx £8 each, again very easy to fit. This is valid for a Coachman Amara 2008, newer caravans may be different

Ruffs, thank you for your reply. I do own a Coachman Amara and it does not surprise me that there are different sizes. I was hoping that I could fix it myself and not have to buy new parts but I guess that's the way it goes!

take one of and strip it down noting what goes where. see how it works as you might find something simple and fix it yourself. job done. no cost.
