Octavia Scout 1.8tsi for towing

Has anyone got experience of using an Octavia Scout 1.8 tsi for towing. Was it up to the task, and what sort of mpg did you achieve, towing and general driving

Please don't tell me to buy a diesel.

    I have the Octavia 4x4, it is very good for towing, plenty of load and carry space. Haldex does help on wet and muddy fields, 5van sites, rallies, THS's; never use sites much. Will not say much more, it is a 2.0 TDi.surprised
