Hi all,I have a ranger 460/4 2009 and whilst on holiday I heard a noise from my door fly screen  that sounded like it had retracted and snapped shut.upon inspection I found it was still in place but had lost it's tension all together and I had to physically roll it shut.Do I need a new one or is it a easy fix?

Is it not possible to re tension it?  I will do a little research for you.

Didn't take long!  Just Google 'how to repair a caravan door fly screen' and you'll find plenty of info.  Looks as though you will have to remove the screen to fix.  There will be a screw type thing which you push in and turn with a screw driver - care when removing screw driver as it may ping and lose it's tension.  You can re tension the window blinds in the same way except that you do not usually have to remove the blinds.  Good luck.

My fly screen didn't survive the dog not realising it was in place and jumping into the van!  I think only one of the tension strings was broken.  I was told it is a 4 hour job and cheaper to fit a new one - I will be interested if it can be mended on my own van!  It still works manually except for the bottom corner which would let in the midges!

I am, of course, only talking about re tensioning not a repair!  Any success Timpsonboy?
