Tyre valves

We haven't had a discussion about tyre lifespan for a while; and I'm not starting one!

I have had several tyre valves fail over the last few years (car and caravan), and today found my caravan pressure low. Changed wheel, tyre fitter replaced valve. He reckons it's common, and maybe we should change the valves every 4 years. The rubber body deteriorates and splits. Tyres are in great condition by the way.

    Yep, we had a tyre valve discussion not long back. I think someone had the same problem as you.
