Alko 2000 stabiliser

good morning all, this is my first post, as both my wife and I are new to caravaning. We have purchased an older van to see if we enjoy the experience and have to say we love it!!

I have a small problem, we have used the van three or four times now and on each occasion I have the same problem. I hitch the the van onto the tow bar and engage until the indicator shows green on the stabiliser to show correct engagement then pull the handle down. When we arrive at our destination the handle always pops up, the indicator still shows gree. I must be doing something wrong but I don’t know what. The stabiliser is an alko 2000. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

    Take a leaf out of the truckers book, after an artic driver hitches his trailer, he will put his truck in 1st gear and try to pull out.

    so after you hitch up wind your jockey wheel down, does it lift you car up or lift off your ball.

    You do have a long neck tow ball
