Well that was an entertaining match .Still don't think Croatia will cause England any sleepless nights on that performance. Fingers tightly crossed.😁.

Hard to believe it, but could we actually make it to the final? I think we can, given tonight’s match. Yes, the final awaits, the final awaits! Come on England !

What an eclectic, multitalented, multicultural mashup of such youthful talent. Well done that fabulous England team! Now Croatia next Wednesday and beyond, hopefully!smile

Oh, and let's not forget, skilfully managed!

2nd game enjoyed, England Vs Sweden👍🏻. I’ve changed my mind-‘I’m not a soccer fan’, unless it’s  the World Cup😊

I have been selective in matches viewed to be honest, weather is just too nice at the moment to sit glued to the box. Been some good games though. It is a pleasure to watch England at the moment I must admit. I am almost daring to dream.........laughing

I think the Belgium v France game has the makings of a Final to be honest......with Thierry Henry on the sidelines willing on the wrong team. Roberto Martinez has done a great job with them, similar to Gareth Southgate. I think this World Cup could be memorable for these two young managers as well as anything else.

England's success is most definitely down to the motivation and team organisation of Gareth Southgate. He has moulded those individual players into a really successful soccer team. When the England team play in the world cup final, as I expect them to do ,  Gareth should be recognised as the best manager ever in world cup soccer.

    cool

Never mind what the otter says.   --- I fully expect the England team to compete in the world cup final.  They have the talent and the best manager in the tournament.

    So sad 😢

But remind me, when did an English side win any World Cup in any code of football?

Congratulations to Croatia. In all fairness they played better than us and scored 2 goals from open play against one from a free kick. England have done them selves proud in this tournament but probably it was only the game against Sweden where they dominated. A young and talented team guided by an outstanding manager. Bring on the euros in 2020! smile

+ 1 moulesy,  I  think  { but  hate  to  have  to  say  it } the  better  side  won  today.

Peeps  on  here  keep  saying  "Every  day  is  a  learning  day"  and  the  team  as  well  as  the  Manager / Coach  can  benefit  from  this  whole  tournament.

Agree M, Croatia are a good team. You don't beat Argentina 3-0 unless you are. England did very well, been a good World Cup for us. Much better than usual.

    Otter is crying tonight......

Must say I'm a bit disappointed in England's performance tonight.  Croatia is a good team but England failed to take advantage of their opportunities, particularly during the first half.  ------- All credit to the England manager and his players to have reached this stage in the world cup. They have done their country proud.

I will be supporting France in the final on Sunday.  Should be a great game.

I think they (England) play Belgium for that third place! France play in the final against Croatia, I hope Croatia win and my money is on them, mind! They are the minnows, a tiny nation in comparison with the rest!

They missed their chances in the first half hour and then Croatia were the better side. Still they played well and better than anyone thought.

Yep another meeting with Belgium. It's the match neither team will want to play.

Croatia may be a small country, but a lot of their players play at very big clubs, the goal scorer is Ronnie's strike partner at Real Madrid! Barcelona, Juventus etc...... Luka Modric has more winners medals than the whole England team combined! So no shame in losing to Croatia. England had wasted opportunities in the first half when they could have been 3 up. Last night, wily experience and better finishing cost us dearly. But they can hold their heads high. How long has it been since England were in any competition not hanging on desperately after losing the first match?

Can the experienced Croatians now beat a very young but highly skilled French team?

I would like to see Croatia win but sadly I think the French will outclass them.
